Privacy policy

How we look after your details, in plain English. This site uses no cookies, analytics or tracking of its own.

Who we are

This website belongs to Function Wright, the coaching practice of Susanne, a Functional Medicine Health Coach and Life Coach based in the UK. Function Wright decides how your details are used and is the data controller. You can reach us at info@functionwright.co.uk.

What we collect

We only collect the details you choose to give us. If you fill in the contact form we collect your name, your email address and whatever you write in your message. If you register your interest in group programmes and workshops we collect your name, your email address and any topics you tell us about. If you email us directly we collect whatever you include in your email.

Because coaching is personal, you may choose to tell us something about your health or wellbeing when you get in touch. Anything like that is treated as sensitive information. We only use it to understand and respond to your enquiry, we treat it in confidence and we rely on your explicit consent to hold it. Please only share what you are comfortable sharing.

This site does not use cookies, analytics or any tracking of its own. We do not build a profile of you and we do not follow you around the web.

Booking a call

If you book a call through the online calendar on this site, the booking is handled by our scheduling provider (Setmore). The details you enter when booking, such as your name, email address and the time you choose, are processed by Setmore on our behalf under its own privacy policy so the call can be arranged.

The calendar only loads on the Book a Call page. When it loads, Setmore may set its own cookies and collect basic usage data under its own privacy policy. The rest of this site sets none.

Why we use your details

We use your details to reply to you, to arrange calls and sessions you ask for and to let you know about workshops or programmes you have asked to hear about. Under UK data protection law our lawful bases are: taking steps at your request before entering into an agreement, your consent (which you can withdraw at any time), and our legitimate interest in running the practice and replying to people who contact us. For anything you share about your health, we rely on your explicit consent.

Who we share them with

We do not sell your details and we do not share them for marketing. We use a small number of trusted services to run this website: our hosting provider (Vercel) serves the site and keeps short-lived technical logs, and our email provider (Resend) delivers form messages to our inbox. They only handle your details so we can receive and reply to your message. Some of these providers are based outside the UK; where that happens, the transfer is protected by recognised safeguards such as the UK's international data transfer agreement or equivalent contractual protections. We will only share your details beyond this if the law requires it.

This site links to our Facebook and Instagram pages. If you follow those links, those platforms handle your information under their own privacy policies.

How long we keep them

We keep your enquiry for as long as we need it to reply to you, to provide anything you ask for and for our records, then we delete it. If you join the workshops interest list we keep your details until you ask to come off it. If you ask us to delete your details sooner, we will.

Your rights

You can ask to see the details we hold about you, have them corrected or deleted, ask us to limit or stop using them, ask for a copy in a portable format and object to our use of them. Where we rely on your consent, you can withdraw it at any time. To do any of these, contact us using the details above and we will respond promptly.

If you are not happy with how we handle your details, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk.
